Original 1860 letter from a student at the Mossy Creek Academy in Rockingham County Virginia to his sister back home,.....4 page letter dated June 18th 1860 thats fairly easy to read-tells her about some student hi-jinks and events...they threatened to " stick a bayonet " in a guy to get him to tell about a horse,one fellow courting a girl in town .," Old Grab (later Major Grabonsky in the Confederate Army ) was " Run Off The Ground "..problems with horses etc ...its all complete and in good shape-..no rips or tears..signed John R Gibbon who a year later would serve in the 1st Virginia Cavalry under JEB Stuart )....5 x 8..looks and displays well and is guaranteed original and authentic ...Shipping is via USPS in US and overseas…...always glad to combine on multiple buys when possible
