We are offering the 1929 Script for the Play "
City Haul"
.  A Modern Drama in Three Acts.  By William Ruggles Thurnau.  Division of Play Production.  University of Michigan.
Apparently, Thurnau was a student of play writing & production at the university.  This play was awarded First Place by the U. of Michigan Play Production Division, and
"was declared to be of such calibre that the committee does not hope to find better plays ever submitted by student authors".
The script, having a cast of 27 characters and a total of 72 pages, appears to be very professionally written and could be used as a model for students studying to be playwrights today  It is filled with detailed direction throughout, constantly indicating the manner in which the characters should speak their lines in order to reflect the emotions they are feeling at the time, along with gestures, etc.
