A Fine Chinese Laquer Brush Box men pulling Tortouise

Description

This auction is for an Antique Pencil or Paint Brush Box.  The box is black lacquered with a painting of four men pulling a very large tortoise. The Tortoise has a funny little grin like he knows he is going to win the tug of war. The box measures approximately 7-7/8" long, 2-1/4" deep and 1-1/8" tall. The box shows some wear and use. The lower left corner of top is chipped. There is some missing paint. There is a divider missing from the inside. You can tell by the imprint it left on the bottom. The lid opens and closes nicely.
