This is a rare piece of sheet music for the song "FROM NOW ONWARD" from the Original Broadway production of the SIGMUND ROMBERG and
ROWLAND LEIGH musical "MY ROMANCE" at the Adelphi Theatre in New York
City. (The production opened October 19th, 1948 at the Sam S.
Shubert Theatre, moved to the Adelphi Theatre on December 7th,
1948 and ran for only 95 performances.) ..... The musical starred ANNE
JEFFREYS and LAWRENCE BROOKS and featured LUELLA GEAR, MELVILLE RUICK,
HAZEL DAWN, Jr., REX EVANS, DORIS PATSTON, JOAN SHEPARD, ALLEGRA VARRON,
NAT BURNS, TOM BATE, HILDEGARDE HALLIDAY, MADELEINE HOLMES, BARBARA
PATTON, TITO CORAL, EDITH LANE, MELTON MOORE and WILLIAM BERRIAN .....
Side Note: The Pre-Broadway tour included stops in Boston, Philadelphia
and Chicago, where the show closed and composer SIGMUND ROMBERG
was hired to replace the original score written by DENES AGAY and PHILIP
REDOWSKI. There would be one additional tryout in Boston in October

CONDITION: With the exception of a small "60" stamped in the top right corner of the front cover and minor edge wear, this rare piece of sheet music is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
