Antique Carved Soapstone Ink Brush Washer Pot Calligraphy Birds 1940s. China. Beautiful piece! Smoke Free. Measures aprox 5.25” wide x 2” deep x 2 1/8” tall. My friends dad brought this and others back from china in the 1940s at the end of WWII / WW2. My friend loved them as he was an artist and appreciated the hand work and creativity that went into each piece. He passed suddenly and I’ve been trying to get this collection up for sale. It’s heart wrenching as we were true best friends. I’m hoping each piece goes on to someone that will love them as much as he did! None of his pieces had any kind of label but rather most had China scratched into the stone on the back or bottom. I found that interesting. I’m happy to do a price deal for multiple purchases.
