This is a rare 212 page Vocal Score for theOriginal Broadway production of the JERRY HERMAN and MICHAEL STEWART musical comedy "HELLO, DOLLY!" which played the St. James Theatre in New York City. (The show opened January 16th, 1964 and ran for 2844 performances.) ..... During the exceptionally long Broadway run, nine different actresses played the role of "Mrs. Dolly Gallagher

Several other prominent actresses took the show on the road including MARY MARTIN, DOROTHY LAMOUR, EVE ARDEN and YVONNE DE CARLO ..... The score includes full production credits, Opening Night Cast list, synopsis of scenes, eleven production photos and printed lyrics and music for twenty songs ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) There is fraying at the top seam, a name and date written on the title page, handwritten notations in pencil on several pages, the lyrics to "Elegance" highlighted with a yellow marker and moderate edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare score will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
