in December 1989 to universally disastrous reviews. Extensive reworking of the script and score at the Goodspeed Opera House proved futile, and the project ended before the scheduled March 1st, 1990 opening at New York's
Marriott Marquis Theatre

Off-Broadway
Variety Arts Theatre, where it ran for 200 performances.) .....
