    System Overview
The HC1250 heater is a multi-fuel flameless air heater
capable of delivering 5000 CFM of air, heated at 100 deg C (180 deg F) above ambient, at a static pressure of 10 inches of water.
The large amount of heat is delivered by a powerful gas turbine engine that can burn diesel, natural gas, and propane
. The heater can be electrically powered either by the grid or by the onboard diesel genset. The HC1250 heater consists of the following major components.
The HC1250 heater requires 480 VAC power to run the Main Blower, auxiliaries, and controls. In the case that external power is not available, the HC1250 heater has an onboard diesel genset that can generate the required amount of main electrical power. The onboard diesel genset runs off the HC1250 onboard diesel tank.
    The HC1250 heater’s AnyFuelTM capability
allows it to burn a variety of different gaseous hydrocarbon fuels to generate heat without requiring the operator to implement any hardware or software changes for different fuels.
    The Gas Turbine Engine
is the heart of the HC1250 heater. It is a compact piece of equipment that can deliver up to 1.25 MMBTU/hr. of heat. It is also a fuel flexible system that can burn a variety of fuels including diesel, natural gas, and propane.
The Fuel Manifold of the Gas Turbine Engine
automatically meters the fuel going into the gas turbine engine to precisely control the temperature of the delivered air. The fuel manifold also automatically handles both liquid and gaseous fuels; therefore, the operator does not need to make mechanical changes to the HC1250 heater to switch the fuel type. The Fuel Manifold compartment also has a port for connecting gaseous fuel.
    The Main Blower
is a powerful centrifugal air blower that is responsible for delivering the majority of the heater’s output flow rate. It is also used to provide starting air to the gas turbine engine during startup and provide cooling air to the gas turbine engine during shutdown
    Diesel genset
An onboard diesel genset provides electric power for the heater. Electric power is required primarily to drive the air blower, but it is also used to power the control panel and the gas turbine oil system. Alternatively, the HC1250 heater also has a receptacle to receive external power if power is already available onsite
    The Control Panel
is the brain of the HC1250 heater. It contains all of the heater’s power distribution as well as the heater’s main programmable logic controller (PLC). The cellular communication device is also housed in the Control Panel. Note that the equipment operator typically will not interact with the Control Panel, and will only interact with the Operator Panel.
    Operator Panel
is accessible behind a door on the Control Panel. The equipment operator will primarily interact with the Operator Panel to control the HC1250 heater.
    Trailer
The HC1250 heater is mounted on a two-axle towable trailer and fully enclosed in a steel enclosure. The trailer has an easily-accessible fill port for the built-in 250-gallon diesel tank. The HC1250 heater has two covered outlet ducts located at the aft of the trailer.
