    Description

This Chinese porcelain hand painted square caligraphy brush pot is marked with a Hua Ping Tang Zhi mark that was produced in China around the 1970's. The mark on this piece translates to "China Magnificent Level Hall Made" which is an emperial mark of high quality that indicates this piece was more than likely made for nobelity. This brush pot was hand painted with Chinese monks on each side depicting a different scene, one with a monk reading on a bridge, another playing on the beach, another thinking of a far away place, and the other one meditating. This Chinese porcelain caligraphy brush pot is in "Pristine Condition" with no chips, no cracks, no repairs, and very little wear to the piece for the age of it.
