    Description

    The certificate is dated April 11, 1904.  The company was incorporated in Maryland in 1799 and in Delaware in 1801.
    The Chesapeake and Delaware Canal is a 14-mile long, 450-foot wide and 40-foot deep ship canal that cuts across the states of Maryland and Delaware. It connects the Delaware River with the Chesapeake Bay.
