Description
The Onkyo M-509 is a vintage high-fidelity power amplifier that was released in Japan in 1983, during the “Golden Era” of Japanese high-fidelity audio equipment. In addition to the use of high quality components, the M-509 features some nice technical innovations, especially with regard to replication of the exact phase of the signal and reduction of time-domain distortion. It features Onkyo’s proprietary W Super Servo System, which eliminates the influence of the electromotive forces of the speakers. The resulting sound is fantastic. The M-509 has an independent left/right channel configuration, a rated output of 200 W per channel (8 ohms), and a THD of <0.003%. If you’re looking for a truly great vintage Japanese power amp, be sure to check out the Onkyo M-509.
This particular unit is in very good condition, with some expected signs of age and use, including some scratches, dust, and a little chip of the wood on top surface (please check photos).
