    Ink and Brush Pot
    We offer a vintage hand carved Chinese soapstone brush and ink pot with a lidded receptacle in the shape of a melon set atop a field of leaves. The base is inscribed  “43”. The stone has a nice mottled rose and gray coloration.
    The soapstone brush pot weighs 2 pounds 6.8 ounces and measures 8” in width, 3 3/4” in depth and 3 1/2” in height.
    Overall the brush pot is in very good vintage condition with no observable loss to the carvings.
