VINTAGE WELL CARVED BAMBOO LARGE 7" CHINESE BRUSH POT STORKS PINES NEAR MINT

Description

This well carved Oriental wood Chinese brush pot is in near mint or mint condition, a natural soft surface patina, no chips, no cracks, no repairs. It measures approx 7 1/2" H and weighs about 15 oz..  I believe it is early 20th C, well kept and once loved by a collector from whom I purchased another Chinese brush pot...also listed now on Ebay.  This one has the traditional scenes of numerous men on a mountain/hillside, some smaller folk above perhaps carrying items.  Below the middle there are copious blooming flowers on trees, perhaps Prunus. On the opposite side there is a building or temple, high hills and water.  In this condition, with this quality carving, this is in my experience an uncommon brush pot.  SAGANGUY LTD, ANTIQUES & ART.
