    Description

Round one pound Massasoit brand Coffee tin, paper over tin, made by the Charles E. Brown & Co., Springfield, Mass.  Tin measures 4" in diameter and 5 1/2" tall.  This is not a great paper label that has been placed over an old tin container, as the top is clearly original Massasoit Coffee-- it is embossed with the product's name on it. There is no date on the label but based on the graphics, I guess this is from the 1930's. Same great image on the front and the back. On the back, there is a dent in the tin just to the left of the round Native American face.  It is very shallow and you only know it's there when you run your hand over the area of the indentation. And of course you can see how the label has been uniformly torn to some degree all along the top.  Even with those items identified, this is still a coffee tin with outstanding graphics. The colors are so very strong.   From a pet free and smoke free home-the tin has no odor.  Only one like it for sale on ebay.
